Videora is a software that is used to convert movies from AVI, XVID, FLV, MOV, etc. to iPod, PSP, etc. compatible versions.
*** Adding iPodNova’s standards to Videora’s custom profiles (iPod Optimized example). ***
- Open Videora
- Click on the “settings” tab in the upper left hand corner.

- In the “Profile” field selct the “H.264 VGA 768kbps Stereo/128kbps” profile.
- Click “Edit Profile” on the right.

- In the new window change the “name” field to “[iPodNova] iPod Optimized”.

- Click “video” on the Edit Profile toollbar.
- The “General” should automatically be selected.
- Change the “bitrate (kbps)” field to 640.
- Change the “Max Resolution” field to “320×240″.
- Make sure the AutoResize option is enabled.

- Now select the ” General 2″ tab.
- In additional “CLI Parameters” type “-qmin 10″ without the quotes.

- Click on the “Advanced 1″ tab.
- Manually change the “Maximum Bitrate” field to “768″.
- If you have a core duo processor or above you may increase the “Number of Threads” field as high as 4 to increase your converting efficiency. I would suggest ‘2′ but you should play with this until you are comfortable with it.

- Now click on the “Audio” menu on the Edit Profile window toolbar.
- You may adjust the “Bitrate (kbps)” field up to 160 if you like.
- You may increase the source audio in the “Volume (%)” field if you like. I think 200 is best.
- Click “ok”.

- Click the “Save Converter Settings” in the lower right hand corner.

- Close Videora.
*** Setting the profile you just created to be the default profile used when converting videos.
- Open Videora and click on the “Settings”menu and then “Converter” tab.
- In the second grouping of options entitled “One-Click Settings” select the “iPod Optimized” profile you just created from the pull-down menu in the “Profile” field.
- Click save settings.
*** Convert a file using your default profile. ***
- Click on the “Convert” menu in the toolbar.
- DO NOT USE THE VIDEO WIZARD.
- Click on the “Current Conversion” tab.
- Click “One-Click Convert” and navigate to the file you wish to convert and double click.
- You are now converting a file using your default profile.
